ALL OF MIM'S STUFF

FAMILIAR
  • Gretchen The Familiar
Description: A crow imbued with higher intelligence and a compulsion to follow Mim's will and aid her. Serves as her familiar.

ENCHANTED ITEMS
  • Odbity Los (Reflected Fate)
Description: Reflective silver artificial nails that can be fastened to a user's fingertips, with each nail matched with a fingertip ring in silver, shaped in the form of an eye.
Effect: The rings allow the wearer to sense imminent danger and act to avoid said danger. When the item has been used, the silver of the nails and rings tarnish. It can be recharged, but the user must use collected sound to fuel it.

Mechanics: The Odbity Los has 1 Luck vs. Strike, allowing it to take a hit to Luck instead of the wearer when it is fully charged once per thread. The flavour of this hit is up to the wearer but generally favours the wearer evading the hit as the Odbity Los tarnishes.

To recharge it, the wearer must roll Cinder for at least an Exceptional Success. This Luck bonus cannot be applied retroactively in an Encounter if the Odbity Los has not been charged before the Encounter triggers.

  • Scrying Hand Mirror
Description: A black hand mirror with delicate pattern work for its handle and back. The reflective surface is perfectly black, only reflecting when its power is evoked.
Effect: The Scrying Hand Mirror can be used to scry on other persons, places, and things. The range of this ability can be as small as a city block or as broad as Essex County, MA. Higher quality components would increase the range. The mirror will not show anything if a person, place, or thing is shielded from divination magic.

The mirror can provide visual and auditory scrying, but if the target character is sentient and not distracted, they are likely to have a faint sense that they're being watched or not alone. Whether or not they understand why they feel this way is up to the target character's player.

NPCs will get this sensation as well and will react accordingly.

Mechanics:With a successful Cinder roll, the Scrying Hand Mirror will provide visual scrying on a person, place, or thing within range. The higher the success, the better the visual. With an extraordinary success or higher, the mirror can also provide auditory scrying.

Important Note: Open player communication is essential for the use of this item, especially if the character being scryed upon is not currently in the thread. Although it might not make sense for a player to decide their character is beyond the reach of this scrying item unless they are shielded from divination, they must be given the opportunity to consent to be involved in the plot and can provide what the mirror sees. If they are not interested in being involved, then that must be respected.

As a rule, the Exchange offices are shielded from divination magic. If there are other places that are owned by players that are shielded as well, please ask.

ALL OF MIM'S SPELLS

GRIMOIRE
  • Curse of Dependancy
    Keywords: Entropy + Empathy
Description: A nasty spell that plagues its victim with dark emotions of loneliness, neglect, and misery. These emotions continue to grow stronger over time and can only be relieved by interacting with Mim herself- creating a toxic cycle of relying on the Witch to feel any relief from the invading emotions.
Requirements: 1) Permission from player to use on PC. 2) item touched by victim recently. 3) Image or line of sight on victim. NOTE Once cast, victim must make a cinder roll to attempt to naturally resist the curse.
