Jus' a small piece cut from a part that's covered when the kilt is worn. So, the component fer 'touch' is the MacKinlay tartan.” Not that it mattered, but he added, “No' the dress tartan, which looks like a table cloth t' me. Jus' the large blue an' green plaid with the thin, red lines running through it.”
He placed it next to the heather.
