As he continued rummaging, bottles clinking and pouches of various objects shifting––volcanic sand, obsidian, gems, and other such sundry–he had one ear to Lin's remarks even as he applied his discerning eye to what might work for what he had in mind. Her remarks about shorter-sleeved shirts had him chuckling, although he did consider it once she'd pointed it out. The bracelets were masculine enough that he didn't think his ego would take a hit if anyone did see them, but it was a bit odd to have two identical ones on each hand.
“Perhaps I'll disguise one as a timepiece?” He mused, smiling as he pulled up a delicate vial of shimmering light, corked with a glass stopper. This was, he recalled, the bright sunlight from his recent tropical vacation to the Seychelles.
