As Dune carried him towards what might be looming danger or a crime scene waiting to happen–if the hungry Strix had anything to say about it–he only adjusted his lean with her movement to keep himself steady. He did not know why she went to the food-smelling bags, branded with Panera, but he could infer that it was related to their ambush. Hm, how annoying for them.
Her teasing words had the raven angling a look her way, although the beady black eyes and beak did little to tell her what he was thinking at the question. The Strix felt more amused by it than anything, catching the casual fishing she was doing, but he'd offered her snippets here and there so he did not fault it. Curiosity was healthy, after all. To a degree.
“You would be correct,” the raven allowed, tipping his beak forward. “They come in many a shape and form, but their misery is all but guaranteed.”
