Listening to her explanation, Max let out a low hum of interest. Definitely different from the mood rings he'd known as a kid. Powerful, too, in a way. To change someone's mood. A different take on his enchanted pin, more... specific. Mood based, obviously.

When Serafina offered one of them for him to try, Max hesitated for just a moment. He was still not that used to using any magic that wasn't what he'd come to know as the inherent magic of being a werewolf. Even after Emily'd made him activate a few things, he wasn't convinced he did any of it well.

“Well, sure,” he said, giving in, reaching out and taking the ring she offered out. It hummed with magic, uncomfortable in his hand, and even more so as he threaded it on a finger. “I'll give it a try. Does it, uh, trigger on its own, you just have to think you wanna be relaxed, or happy, or whatever?”

He flexed his hand, ignoring the feeling of the magic against his skin, and frowned as he stared down at the ring on his hand.
