non fit morte miser
He delights in events and gatherings enjoys taking the spotlight and giving it away. Fickle and arrogant at times, but all that is hidden behind a solid wall of what is proper and appropriate. Gaius plays with the proper way of things, framing himself as eccentric but not outlandish.
Ancient enough to belong in a museum, Gaius knows having friends in the right places makes the world go round. Many of these "friends" are simply people to be taken advantage of when the time comes, but there are a few he feels genuine affection for. Among these are his mayoral staff and personal staff, who help him through his undying life in various ways. He's a prolific networker and makes sure to remember names and faces.

Asphodel Malvolia: Immortal acquaintances.
Angela Dune: Knows him as Merula, the raven.
Laura Johnson: His recently hired personal assistant.
One cannot easily make enemies with an ancient Strix, but one should not provoke hostilities lightly. Gaius is used to dealing with unsavoury people: extortionists, blackmailers, murderers. He wiggles his way out of their grip in one way or another, usually because they underestimate the extent of what he can do. He is no mere mortal, after all. Killing is so passé, but Gaius is not above it if it'll get him what he wants.

Gaius has no real passion for lovemaking or relationships. He will flirt his way to a feeding if he absolutely must, but there is a reason he gathers loyal workers and followers around him. Even his feeding is generally quick, and to the point, with no playing to the vampiric tropes these ridiculous fiction writers have invented. A romance with Gaius would be dry, but one would likely be showered in gold.
